KNIETSCH ist ein polygonales Relief auf der Basis von Dreiecksformen, das durch unregelmäßige Hebungen und Absenkungen von einzelnen Vektoren in einer gerasterten Fläche, die man sich wie ein Netz vorstellen kann, entsteht. Ihre finale Gestalt erhielt die so geformte Reliefstruktur durch das anschließende, von Matthias Lehmann und Lisa Pahlke am Computer durchgeführte, partielle Dehnen und Stauchen, Verschieben und Verdrehen – also durch digitales knietschen. |

KNIETSCH is a polygonal relief based on triangular shapes that is created by irregular raising and lowering of individual vectors in a gridded surface that can be imagined like a net. The relief structure formed in this way are given their final shape by the subsequent partial stretching and compressing, shifting and twisting carried out by Matthias Lehmann and Lisa Pahlke on the computer – in other words, by digital crumpling (knietschen).
