Der Entwurf MIKADO übersetzt die aus dem Pferdesport bekannten Sprungstangen in ein spielerisches, bewusst ungeordnetes Gefüge, das an das gleichnamige Geschicklichkeitsspiel erinnert und mit einem humorvollen Perspektivwechsel Parallelen zu den hohen Anforderungen des Reitsports herstellt, bei dem kleinste Fehler den Ausgang eines Wettbewerbs beeinflussen können. Als interaktive Setzung fordert die Installation dazu auf, im Durcheinander jeweils zwei gleichfarbige Stangen zu finden und zuzuordnen, während sich dieses Spiel der Ordnung auf den Fensterscheiben der Reithalle in abstrakter, kaum noch lesbarer Form fortsetzt. Die Verdichtung aus Konturen und Kontrasten erinnert dabei an einen Strohhaufen aus dem Stallalltag und erfüllt zugleich funktional die Aufgabe eines wirksamen Vogelschutzes an den Glasflächen. |

The MIKADO design translates the jumping poles familiar from equestrian sports into a playful, deliberately disordered structure reminiscent of the game of the same name. With a humorous change of perspective, it draws parallels with the high demands of equestrian sports, where even the smallest mistakes can influence the outcome of a competition. As an interactive setting, the installation invites visitors to find and match two bars of the same color in the jumble, while this game of order continues on the windows of the riding hall in an abstract, barely legible form. The density of contours and contrasts is reminiscent of a pile of straw from everyday stable life and at the same time fulfills the functional task of effectively protecting birds from the glass surfaces.
