Der Entwurf für das Begegnungszentrum und Bürgerhaus in Mainz-Lechenberg zeigt drei vergrößerte, entfaltete Papierblätter aus Edelstahl, deren Faltmuster auf Kiste, Boot und Flieger zurückzuführen sind – Sinnbilder für Bewegung, Wandel und Erkenntnis. Eine übergroße Büroklammer verbindet die Blätter zu einem Ensemble, das für Zusammenhalt und Kommunikation zwischen den Generationen sowie für den Verwaltungsapparat im Gebäude steht. Die Arbeit reflektiert das Falten als Prinzip von Raum, Gemeinschaft und Entfaltung.|

The design for the community and civic center in Mainz-Lechenberg features three enlarged, unfolded paper sheets made of stainless steel, whose folding patterns trace back to a box, a boat, and a plane—symbols of movement, change, and insight. An oversized paper clip connects the sheets into an ensemble that stands for cohesion and communication between generations as well as for the administrative structure within the building. The work reflects folding as a principle of space, community, and unfolding.
